“I understand you.” — neutral, can be warm depending on tone.

“I understand.” — concise and very common.

"Je vois."

“I see.” — short acknowledgment while listening.

"Je vois ce que tu veux dire."

“I see what you mean.” — recognizes the idea/logic.



"Je te suis."

“I’m following you.” — while someone explains.

"J’y suis !"

“Got it now!” — realization after clarification.

"C’est bon, j’ai compris."

“All good, I’ve understood.” — signals you’re up to speed.



"Je comprends ce que tu ressens."

“I understand how you feel.” — emotional resonance.

"Je comprends ta position."

“I understand your position.” — calm and diplomatic.
